Opening Day on the Lake

May 21, 2015 | Tim Hauserman

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial opening day for summer activities at Tahoe (even though it does often like to snow). The West Shore Association and a variety of local businesses and public agencies are highlighting all that summer at Tahoe has to offer as part of the Opening Day at the Lake Memorial Day Weekend festivities May 22-25th.

You will find deck openings, BBQ’s, tours of mansions, special exhibits, and lots of good food and drink. Take full advantage of the weekend by picking up a Westshore Passport and then having it stamped at a number of locations. Those who get 10 stamps can redeem prizes at a whole host of local businesses for everything from free coffee, to chocolate, and other food items. When you have a really good time and are able to accumulate 15 stamps, you get a raffle ticket for a long list of more valuable prizes including a $100 gift certificate from Sunnyside. If you did not receive your West Shore Passport in the mail, you can download it online at tahoewestshoreassoc.com
